Transit from Vienna to Venice

Sunday, July 15, 2012

After the super siong but accomplished morning Salzburg hike, we were on the go again. We took a train to Vienna to take an overnight train in order to transit Venice. Time were spent eating and chatting at the station. So bored that the guys got uber excited when they spotted a super duper deal at the vending machine - 1 Kit Kat and 1Snicker bar for 1++ or 2 Euro (Can't remember exactly how much). They spent time snapping pictures of the great deal they caught.

My true experience of Claustrophobic
This is how the sleeper cabin look likes. There's a total of 6 rows, 3 seats facing the opposite 3 seats. 4 of us shared the cabin with another Korean couple. Before boarding the train, we heard horror stories about how our luggages or personal belongings may be robbed. We had the big plan of putting all luggages at one cabin which was occupied by 6 of them. All fears were casted aside noting how difficult it is to even pack our luggages within the space constraint. And the couple that is sharing the cabin with us were a pleasant young Korean couple. Our guards were let down.

Feeling somewhat refreshed. I guessed by the typical look, you can easily tell that the guy beside is the Korean guy.
The morning call woke us up (as if we were in deep sleep) but yes, the ride came with breakfast. But before that, we had to transform our beds to seats.

Our parting shots photo with the Korean couple before we explored Venice.
