My little imp turns 8 today!!

Despite the busy exam week, we took time off to bring him for out for a good dinner and got him a new scooter wheel!! Allan swung by to pass pressie to Sky too and made him as happy as lark.



Pray that he will shine as bright as the sparking star and be a good testament!!!

Times flies..Hubby is at his last digit of his 30s stage. To mark this moment, the dutiful wife bought iFly groupon for us to enjoy a flying experience.


Prior to the trip, we had to book our date and timing by emailing iFly.. easy peasy. We needed to reach 1.5hr earlier than the booking time to go through the training. The training basically consisted of video watching and a trainer to teach you the basics of flying and some sign languages to follow while you are flying.


After the training, we were transported the flying area. Since we had to put our belongings in the locker, there was not much chance to snap pictures. We took these photos after the fly.


One by one went into the flying arena with the trainer. It's not easy as you think! Look who's flying! Shan was rather afraid of the fly possibly due to the air. She mentioned that it made it difficult for her to breathe.

My Valentino turned 4 this year! With just 2 years shy from primary school education, he's just growing up too fast! Nevertheless, he's still rather babish in every aspects cos after all he's the baby of the house! He's now more talkative though I'm still hesitant if I should do anything to correct his enunciation.

You have aged gracefully and you are my role model for being active Senior Citizen. Your passion for life long learning never fails to amaze me. You went for English classes (though never seemed to get past the few sentences :p). I'm ashamed that your lifestyle is so much healthier than mine. Besides eating healthily, you go swimming, yoga, line dancing and anymore?? My only form of exercise is to chase after Seth. Despite of your hectic schedule, you visit the kids every week. You kept up with the news and always share your knowledge of child rearing from your reading or your favorite radio station, FM 95.8.

We are not a very expressive family and physical touch such as hugging and kissing seemed so lacking. Now, your grandkids have made up for it by giving you huge hugs and kisses. Your tigress way of bringing me up had somehow brought out some rebellious streak in me during my younger days. However, I'm gratified that your teachings has instilled me to stay firm on the ground and led me to where I am now.

School's out and the kids and I are feeling exuberant! Yes, as if I was the one taking the exam. Ok, school's  not exactly over yet, but they are now feeling as free as a bird.

It's great that the school timed to complete exams before the public holiday and we could bring the kids out to spend a great evening on Hari Raya Haji Eve. Last minute, Sis joined in as well. Headed to Ion and decided to have ramen at Menya Musashi. Have heard rave reviews and the crazy queues and it's suppose to be the top 3 ranking ramen shop in Tokyo.

Hungry Seth!

Shan received some book vouchers during her birthday and she has long been looking forward to spend it. So, after dinner, made a pit stop at Kinokuniya for her to pick up the books.

She completed reading all her books within 2 days. Urrrg, that seemed so wasted! Unfortunately and fortunately for her, I have soft spot for books. I think the bookshelf is screaming abuse and seriously, I think I need to sell off some of the books to accommodate for more books.

Ended the  night with crepes! Actually, we were looking forward to eat pancakes at Strictly Pancakes @ Prinsep Street. But, they were already closed by the time we reached there. Disappointed, we settled for the french cosy looking cafe next to it selling crepes. And it was a wonderful and delightful find! If not for the fact that we were still full from the ramen, I think I could have eaten more. The guys were not interested unlike the ladies (and girl) who had different stomach for different categories of food. There's always space for sweet stuff after dinner and crepe is just IT!


It's tucked in the little corner and easily missed. We tried the dessert crepes. Hope to go back again to try the savoury ones. Mamamiaaaa..

This would be Shan's last year of celebrating a single digit birthday! She has been lamenting that there's no birthday celebration for her for the longest time. After much contemplation, we decided to hold a party for her. It's always tiring but fun preparing for party.

She's into ice skating and initially, I thought of letting her inviting some friends to skate at The Rink. However, there's no corner to house the kids for cake cutting and munchies. When I checked with them, they suggested I booked their multi purpose hall at a hefty price of $1200! With some suggestions here and there, we concluded on engaging Mad Science for a hour of fun to engage the kids.We chose the package "Reactions in Actions" which is all about different chemical reactions.

Meant it to be a small party and she only invited few close classmates and of course, another reason for our usual buddies to hang out together. Chose the party to be on 9 Aug since the next day is a school holiday as well.
