Angel statue (Bernini)

Castle St. Angelo

Artzy Piazza Navona
Built as a stadium with three fountains, it's beautiful to just chill out in this city square. Besides the budding artists that filled the place to paint and sell their art pieces, there were also many entertainers and vendors selling souvenirs.  We enjoyed strolling and soaking in the artsy atmosphere.

Fountain of the Moor - statues of four Tritons and the basin is made of special antique rose marble. In 1654, Bernini carved the central figure, a muscular Triton riding a dolphin, that resembles a "Moor".

Four Rivers Fountain - It represents four rivers - the Danube, the Ganges, the Nile, and the Rio de la Plata, each identifiable by the flora and fauna
Closer look

People were seen by the foundation drawing details of the foundation structure. So skillful, so detailed, so fantastically drawn.
