Malacca

With some friends, we decided on a last minute 3D2N trip to Malacca. It's Seth's maiden trip out of Singapore and also an eventful trip.

Day 1

What's Malacca without tasting their Chicken Rice Ball and Chendol!

We had our fill of Chicken Rice in the Hotel and after some wash up, we went to buy some 土产 and eat chendol. They have mango, durian and gula melaka flavour.

In the evening, we went to the famed Jonker Walk to have our dinner and shop around.

Day 2

After breakfast, we visited St Francis Xaver's Church. We also find a nice little Nonya restaurant to have our lunch.

At night, while the kids were playing in the hotel with caregiving by the maids. We are back to Jonker Walk again for more shopping. We also moved to Mahkota Hotel.

Day 3
Pool view looks great in Mahkota Hotel. Unfortunately, with Swine Flu in the air, we din dare to go swimming.

Sky enjoying a game of golf while the older boys played table tennis. All these are provided free by the Hotel.

We had our Chicken Rice Ball feast again before we headed back to Sg.

Ok..now to the "eventful" part.
On the first nite at Jonker Walk, Shan had a very bad fall in one of the shop! Lotsa blood oooze out and I had to try to be calm about it when inside, I was feeling panicky.. It was so bad that her upper lip immediately swelled and that very night, she had fever. For the next 2 days, Shannon practically just stayed in the Hotel with the maid. In between, we brought her to A&E. However, her fever did not subsize. Back to Sg on Sun night, we brought her to a GP. Perhaps, it's homeland, her fever went off. Stayed home for another few days to nurse her big ulcer.
