The Daddy missed the Hort Park trip we made before and we decided to go there last Sat evening.
The minute we reach there, the kids immediately spotted the bouncy castle from far and they had some fun there.
After a while, we strolled further down and the kids had more fun at the playground.

Attempt at baking!
Milo Choc Chips Muffin - Well, the looks aren't appetising but it's edible and good enough for the family.
Recently, our cell had a baking activity at our place and left over some choc chips. I was clearing my fridge and noticed I have 2 bottles of baking power and baking soda (for someone who don't bake, I wonder when did I buy that?!). On impulse, i decided to try my hand on this motherly stuff and importantly to make use of these baking stuff before it expires. Found a fairly simple recipe from here for a baking idiot like me. Immediately, I got myself a muffin pan from Phoon Huat to start my baking. (Lucky, there's a Phoon Huat near my place for my impulse act)
The baking were completed in time when the kids came home. Shan tried her first bite on the muffin and goes "Mummy, you are my greatest mummy. It's so yummy!" Awww...this melts my heart immediately and I was grinning from one end to another. Sky trying to get away with just having muffin for dinner and I had to quickly keep the muffins.
With this motivation, I'm now keen to try other muffin recipes.

We planned a picnic at Botanical Gardens with Suzie and Elisa's family when we noted about Philharmonic Youth Winds & the Singapore Symphony Orchestra performing there on 17 May. It was so crowded! The kids packed their scooter and bicycle and realised that there's no way to play at all.
Look at the crowd!
The food we packed.
With music in the air, the women and men spent the relaxing evening chatting while the kids roam freely and munching.

Similar to Jie Jie who had a "big" celebration when she's four, we (rather I) planned a party for him at Go Go Bambini on 10 May. We invited his friends mostly of that age so that they can enjoy the playscape.
Sky is Power Ranger craze and, thus, I ordered Power Ranger cake from Smiling Orchid. The rangers are provided by the bakery itself.

It's also mothers' day that Sunday and we went to Long Beach @ Dempsy for another pig out session with Ah ma and family. Like daddy, he's into seafood. He takes crab and prawn very well unlike the sister who always siam these food.
That night, Sky quietly told me "Mummy, I'm very happy today" before he slept. Looks like he's indeed very happy cos this is the first time he volunteer such information to me.
At his CC, it's a simple and usual affair of cake cutting and giving out of goodie bag to his classmates on the actual day itself. One thing i noticed that kids nowsaday expect to receive goodie bag after each birthday celebration. The kids will literally asked me where's their goodie bag. Oh my...kids now are soooo different from our generation. I don't even remember my mum celebrating birthdays in school for me and I don't certainly recall bringing back goodie bag now and then.

With some friends, we decided on a last minute 3D2N trip to Malacca. It's Seth's maiden trip out of Singapore and also an eventful trip.
Day 1
What's Malacca without tasting their Chicken Rice Ball and Chendol!
We had our fill of Chicken Rice in the Hotel and after some wash up, we went to buy some 土产 and eat chendol. They have mango, durian and gula melaka flavour.
In the evening, we went to the famed Jonker Walk to have our dinner and shop around.
Day 2
After breakfast, we visited St Francis Xaver's Church. We also find a nice little Nonya restaurant to have our lunch.
At night, while the kids were playing in the hotel with caregiving by the maids. We are back to Jonker Walk again for more shopping. We also moved to Mahkota Hotel.
Ok..now to the "eventful" part.
On the first nite at Jonker Walk, Shan had a very bad fall in one of the shop! Lotsa blood oooze out and I had to try to be calm about it when inside, I was feeling panicky.. It was so bad that her upper lip immediately swelled and that very night, she had fever. For the next 2 days, Shannon practically just stayed in the Hotel with the maid. In between, we brought her to A&E. However, her fever did not subsize. Back to Sg on Sun night, we brought her to a GP. Perhaps, it's homeland, her fever went off. Stayed home for another few days to nurse her big ulcer.

Day 3
Pool view looks great in Mahkota Hotel. Unfortunately, with Swine Flu in the air, we din dare to go swimming.
Sky enjoying a game of golf while the older boys played table tennis. All these are provided free by the Hotel.
We had our Chicken Rice Ball feast again before we headed back to Sg.

Evelyn held a birthday party at Bakerzin for 1yo Keith. It was a new experience for the kids and they enjoyed it to the fullest.
The boys fooling outside Bakerzin while waiting for the baking session to begin
The kids in their baker's uniform. Getting started in their baking session.
Sky scooping up the mixture attentively. Ready to bake it.
Shan icing her marshmallows for the cupcake toppings.
Ta-duh...Choc Fudge Cupcake
The kids get to keep the uniform, a certificate, a photo shot and of course the cupcakes made by them.
