Since Sky turn 3, I decided to start the night toliet training last week. I also indicated in the comms book to let Sky's teacher know so that Sky would not be wearing his diapers during his nap time. Surprisingly, Sky's teacher informed that they are also embarking the training to playroup kids too.

Ways to ensure Sky succeed:
a) Reduce the milk intake by half
b) We must be discipline to bring him to toliet between 1am and 2am
c) Talk to him every night

And yeh!!! For the whole of last week, he's diaperless in the night with 2 nights of accident! For a boy with a diaper so full every morning, it's a good milestone!

Before going to Ah Gong's place, the kids requested to go swimming.


Shan is now able to paddle in the water (with float) without clinging on to me. She has also finally dare to submerg in the water for a few secs.

Sky, as usual, the daring one..enjoys swiming and always very reluctant to leave the pool. He refuses to use any form of float!

Hmm..mus make use of GSS to buy some swim cap for the kids to protect their hair and a proper swim suit for Shan.

Of all people to dream about, Shan told me on 2 occasions that she dreamt of Mas Selamat! Whenever she spotted Mas Selamat poster, she will either point out to us and just rattle the name. Guess, the many many posters around created this undesirable effect on her. LOL

Brought the kids to Fidgets today. For $15/kid, they had fun from 10am all the way till 5pm. It's indeed a good deal to exhaust them. The baobeis together their friends, Fredrick, Lucas, Chermain & Issac enjoyed it so much! The big boys aka the daddies had their fair share of fun too! Compared to Go Go Bambini, it's alot bigger!

Had another round of celebration for Sky's birthday in school during his actual day. As Sky's having Kindersmusik that day, we leave him to finish his lesson and went back to pick the kids up in another hr time.

In between to another family celebration at Swensons, we brought the kids to Botanical Gdns - Jacob Ballas Childrens Garden.

Celebrated Sky's 3rd birthday at Julia Gabriel last Sunday. Bought the cake from the The Patisser which i thought would be less messier for his S&D class. Both kids and the parents like it very much!

Sky is in the "Why" Phase as he's reaching 3 in a wk's time. Can't seem to answer his endless "Why" questions. He can be so persistent and keep asking why this and why that until I'm loss for words.

I know each kid is different. When comes to teaching, Sky is really driving me nuts. While teaching him, he...

1. Can't sit still & will wonder off to do something.
2. Will say "Mummy, I promise you. After this, ok?" and proceed to doddle.
3. Can't remember what i have said and mix up the shapes that he knew and not known.
4. Ask for milk halfway

Urggg! God! Pls impart me with more patience and the right method to teach him!!

Shan's music teacher has been "chasing" us to buy a piano for Shan as she's advancing in her piano lessons. After weeks of deliberating, we decided to take the plunge and commit a $4900 second hand Yamaha piano. The shop will allow a buy back at 70% if we decided to sell back. So, the calculated risk is abt $1500 if Shan decided to back out. Thinking that in abt half a yr or so later, Sky will also be taking music, we "invested" in the piano. Many thanks to PH & shan's teacher who took time to choose the piano with us since the mummy & daddy are musically illiterate.

The kids' cc were closed on Wednesday. Took the opportunity to go on leave and spent some quality time with them. With compliments from Christina's hubby, we got free tixs to Zoo. Unfortunatly, dh couldn't join us.

We spent a good time there and Sky was being extra well behaved by not asking me to carry him. Nothing much changed except that Ah Meng was no longer around. The kids ventured the Zoom took pony rides, watched sealion performed two times, played at the playground and pool. As usual, the kids knocked out when they finally reached home in the late noon.

The kids cc is very proactive in enaging the parents. First, they had an orientation begining of the year to bring you through the theme and activities going through for the next six mths. Three months down the road, they organised another informal parent teacher session.

This time, I'm quite sad as Sky's English teacher, Lydia, (who is also Shan's literacy teacher) informed she would be on six months no pay leave to pursue her dip course. The good news is she would be back in half a yr time. Thus far, she's the best pre-school teacher I had ever seen. She's very passionate about teaching pre-schoolers and know her stuff well. In fact, she was Eton House trained and also a former teacher from Eton House. I understand that she's also using the same approach to teach the playgroup kids. Nonetheless, she's following God's calling to enrich her passion in pre school teaching and we fully bless her in her path.

- Good helper in school
- Good academics both in English & Mandarin
- Loves to talk
- May be strong pride and can't accept if there's peers do not listen to her (have been working on that)

Sky
- Independent
- Only communicates in English. Chinese teacher "complaining" that he don't speak Chinese at all! Oh dear!!!
- Can colour well (at least within the lines)
