Although Shan is taking private piano lesson now with Tch Wendy, she is still roped in to do the music school's Annual Concert. This year, the performance took place at Yong Siew Toh Conservatory Concert Hall. Shan had to do two pieces - "Gavot" and "Play Party".

What a sight! Can't help laughing and quickly grab the camera to capture them eating their chix wings.

Shannon's group in her class was chosen to participate in the Di Zi Gui Recital performance for Bukit Timah GRC 55th Anniversary. During the June Hols, she had to go back to school couple of times to rehearse. Her Ah Ma was also particpating in the event with line dancing performance :)

Shan cheekily mentioned to me that even she did not recite, nobody would take notice at all! I wasn't quite sure about that until we were at the event that evening. We did not realise it was such a big scale event (we do not usually go for such community event!). There was a big stage and a platform stage on the ground.

Took one-wk leave to accompany the kids..Tsk Tsk, Sky chose the right timing to get sick. Down with a bit of runny nose & cough, I decided to let him skip school on some days as well.

West Coast Park
With friends, the kids went to West Coast Park and had some fun.






Rochester House
We arranged to have another day of fun and decided to venture the newly open Rochester Playhouse. It was nice relaxing area with a bit of colonial feel EXCEPT that it wasn't exactly the kids' cup of tea.

It looked like some nice preschool with various learning corners. There were two levels and the upper level is only for 7yo and above. Shannon thinking it was something exciting, eagerly went up only to find a somewhat look alike computer class. It allowed the older kids to enjoy a game of Wii and some surfing on the net.

We were telling the staff that the kids we thought it was something like "Go Go Bambini" and at the mention of these words, the kids went crazy and immediately said "YES YES!". The staff were nice enough not to charge us for that 10mins and whoosh, we detoured to Go Go Bambini.

Was away for a seminar and leave the Daddy (of course with the helper) to take care of the kids. He's totally whacky and you can't really count on him to do serious stuff.

"WHY AM I NOT INVOLVED??"

My sis is working for RWS and with subsidised rate, our whole family including the kids' Ah Gong and Ah Ma went to Universal Studio on 22 May (Saturday).

We took some bites at Ya Kun & some pictures before entering into USS.



Our 1st stop @ Madagascar where the kids took the carousel. It was also Seth's first ride. Oh dear, as i was writing this post, I realised that he had not even take those $0.50 - $1.00 kiddy ride at coffee shop at all unlike his Gor Gor and Jie Jie.


Next stop at Ancient Egypt where we took some thrilling ride (without the kids).


We walked on to Sci-fi City.



Shan & Sky glued to the street dance performance.


We were at Far Far Away land to watch to 4D Shrek Show and Donkey Live show followed by WaterWorld (stunts show) at Lost World. The show was exactly the same to the one we watched in USS Osaka .



Ah Gong & Ah Ma were so happy at their Canopy Flyer ride.


Besides the main roller coaster ride that was down, there were some other rides that were also not ready and some down for maintainence. I was expecting a night parade where the characters illuminated with bright lights would do a walkabout just like the one we saw in USS Osaka or Movieworld / Dreamworld in Gold Coast and was disappointed to learn that there's none.

Anyway, it was a good time spent.

A week before Sky turns 5, we celebrated Mother's day, Dad's b'day and Sky's birthday rolled in one lunch at Irvings.

On Sky's actual day, we went to his CC to do a mini celebration.
