Grampians National Park has a number of spectacular scenic lookouts. It is famous for its mountainous scenery.








MacKenzie Falls  is said to be one of the largest and popular waterfalls in the Grampians. But it was the dry season then.




We drove on another 2 hours and reached Portland. Though we did not stay long, but good enough to leave a memory. I really love the tranquility and peace there.

Gibson Steps - one of the many highlights located a couple of kilometers from 12 Apostles. Had a good mini workout climbing up & down.

Sovereign Hill
You certainly won't want to miss Sovereign Hill while at Ballarat. The costumed characters, the horses, a mining site for gold digger! It's definitely a must go place with the kids.











After the day adventure, we went back in the evening to catch the Sound and Light show. It was not quite as expected and the kids (me included) were pretty bored!

Lake Wendouree
Right in the city, we went to a very picturesque lake boasting stunning views and beautiful wildlife.













After the lovely walk, we ventured into The Pancake Kitchen that was set in a historical building with timeless and elegant décor. Remembered the extensive menu but food wise, it did not leave much  impression.
