Korea Day 2 Part 2 - Jeju Island

Saturday, December 29, 2012

After a hearty lunch, we were brought to Jeju Folk Village. Here, we understood more about their culture and heritage. The Jeju Folk Village features an actual village, where you get to peek inside traditional village homes, farms, backyards, etc. Not only that, we also learnt a fair bit of the black pig and we realised that pork was essential in funeral, parties and ancestral rites.

After exploring Jeju village, we were brought to the next destination Trick Art Museum. It was first museum in Korea to show optical illusion art. Exhibitions on walls and floors are in three dimensions. It's really full of fantasy in there and the kids enjoyed the visit here tremendously  It's really fun as you can take lotsa pictures as if you are part of the painting. Unfortunately, Seth chose this time to nap and missed out the fun!

Love this picture the most!
Outside the Trick Museum, it also provided great scenery for photo taking

After the fun evening, we dropped by Yongduam Rock which is also named as Dragon Head Rock. It is sheer creation of nature - created merely by strong winds and waves over thousands years. With abit of imagination, can you spot the dragon? This stop took less than 15 mins. Some aunties were grumbling a waste of time to see these few rocks.

Look at our "raw" dinner spread. Other than Sashimi, we decided to play it safe by putting the rest of the stuff in the steamboat. Can't afford the runs to the loo. The abalone is rather fishy though..

Hello!

Hello! And thanks for visiting my blog!

With God's love, we have been blessed with three wonderful kiddos. I hope to jot down as many events and details as we journey along this life. One day, when the kids grow up, they have this space to refer to bring back many fond memories and laughter.

With love!
