The 2nd rehearsal last Sun went very well. She sing & played loudly on that day. Just pray that she doesn't stumble on the actual day. For their group, parental accompany is needed. Aiyo, even the parent need to be in sync with the dress code. On the other hand, Shan was so happy when she knew that she has the chance to wear the flower gal dress again.

Shan's music sch is having an annual concert at DBS Auditorium on 5 Aug. For shan, she had the first rehearsal with another class last sun. With a shy nature, Shan was overwhelmed with new teacher (who's in charge of their item) & the new faces. Her usual class is only her & 2 other boys. Although in a group, she was so scared that she freezed, teared & did not play the notes (where she played very well in the previous lessons & at home). It took her abt 15mins before she regains her posture & started playing together with her class.
In fact, we recognise that Shan had this inner lack of confidence in public. Not sure how to help her to get out of her shell. Just keep telling her, "All things are possible through Jesus!"

The kids' Ah Yi finally obtained her driving licence after 4 attempts! Last Sun, after dinner with family, dh made Ah Yi drove us back home. We were all so excited for her. While Ah Yi was making adjustment for mirror & trying hard to ease her nervousness, Shan nonchalantly shot a piece of advice, "Ah Yi, red light must stop hor! " We really can't stop laughing.

Dh was unusually home early last fri. So, I made a last min decision to have a 1-1 time with Shan while dh can also have time with Sky. Went to lot 1 to watch Shrek 3. It's a great & hilarious show! But, during the show, Shannon voiced that she's afraid of Shrek! Half of the time, she curled in front of me. Yet, when I asked if she enjoyed the show, she replied yes!- Sunday, June 10, 2007

I hv previously blogged abt how sensitive Shan can be. I'm not sure if she's ultra emotional kind. She can get into tears easily & she seems to need constant reassurance that we love her very much. If I praise her bro, she will ask "mummy, me leh?" If I had somehow ignore her, die big time! She will get into her act & sob! During the times when she's given scolding or time out, she will start saying things like, "mummy don't luv me!", "nobody luv me!" & even to the extend of "I dun like my family!" I hope it's not some kind of insecure-ness she's feeling. When she's not into her notti acts, she will then be an affectionate & a very lovely gal.
Suddenly recalled that I watch a no. of k-dramas while preggie with her..Me, being the emotional kind will watch those touching serial with tears. Don't tell me this emotional streak is being passed to her unknowingly & it's passed over 3x!

Shannon's music sch ends off Term 1 with a mini "concert". Each child is to go up to play two notes accompanied by the teacher who will be playing the song. Shannon got so distracted & did not play as what she had been practising all along. She practically did not look at the music scores and tried to play her own tune. Must get her to focus more.

Shannon has been looking forward to her CC's excursion to Kids' Kampong (Pasir Ris Park) today since last week. For the whole of this week, she has been asking me if today is "Friday". Knowing today is "D" day, she's up extra early.
When i reach home, she eagerly showed me the pail, net & a bag of longkang fish that she caught from the kampong & vividly recount the memories of those domestic animals that she seen.

We arranged to put the fishes into the pail and feed them with our bread. Not sure how long these longkang fishes will survive under her care though...shall wait & see.
The funny thing is, Sky seems to be afraid of these small fishes..whenever he sees them, he will run to me & say "scare scare". Hmm..this young man who is a terror when come to climbing & yet is afraid of fishes!!

Every now & then, the first thing i touch home, Shannon will come running to me to complaint about the little things that Sky did to her. It amuses her Ah gong so much that today, he asked her while i'm taking my dinner whether she complaint already. The best thing is i heard that she proclaim loudly "complaint already"!

Shannon's school celebrated 3rd Birthday Bash at the Great Hall, Millenia Walk today. We were highly entertained by the kids as well as the adults' performance. It's also Shannon first public performance.
A pose first.

Was introduced to this Bouncy Castle at Katong Mall by Aunty Suzie. Both Shaine & Shannon had loads of fun in there. Good for children who have lots of energy to shed!

Few hours ago, I brought Shannon to library @ lot 1. Since she's very familiar with the place (which is not big anyway), I shooed her to the children section and told her I'll be at another corner browsing some books.
After a 5-10mins, I went to the children section to look for her....I was starting to wonder where she could be when the annoucement goes "There is a missing child by the name of Shannon at the counter...". This took me by surprise & took me 1 sec to sink in that the annoucement was meant for me!! OMG! Such incident actually happen to me.
Shannon must have u-turned to look for me but did not realised I turned right. According to her, she stopped & asked one aunty "where is mummy". I guess a 3yrs old doesn't know that not everyone know who her mummy is. This kind aunty thus brought her to the front desk. When I reach, she was waiting for me. What a brave gal! She showed no signs of distress and certainly know when to ask for help!!
I must be more careful though :p
