It's a tough nut to crack for Sky's toliet training. This prove to be a daunting experience for us. He will either say "no no no" or tried to run away looking distressed that we tried to pull his pants down. But within secs, he will pee on the floor & look at us innocently. And yet, whenever we asked him where should he pee & poo, he will promptly point to the potty.

Finally, for these few wks, he's able to go potty now to poo!! This is considered a big milestone for him or US.. :)

Shannon has been looking forward to her CC's excursion to Kids' Kampong (Pasir Ris Park) today since last week. For the whole of this week, she has been asking me if today is "Friday". Knowing today is "D" day, she's up extra early.

When i reach home, she eagerly showed me the pail, net & a bag of longkang fish that she caught from the kampong & vividly recount the memories of those domestic animals that she seen.

We arranged to put the fishes into the pail and feed them with our bread. Not sure how long these longkang fishes will survive under her care though...shall wait & see.

The funny thing is, Sky seems to be afraid of these small fishes..whenever he sees them, he will run to me & say "scare scare". Hmm..this young man who is a terror when come to climbing & yet is afraid of fishes!!

Dh has been working rather late & it's quite rare that we can squeeze some time last friday evening to watch a 6pm show together. We catch a no-brainer show - Mr Bean which is rather enjoyable to watch. But, frankly speakingly, don't really think it's worth the ticket price of $9 to watch. Had wanted to go for a dinner before we head home, but we bought too much "small bites" from old chang kee to eat that we became too full to have a proper dinner. So, our couple time is just 1.5hrs of show time plus driving home time.

Every now & then, the first thing i touch home, Shannon will come running to me to complaint about the little things that Sky did to her. It amuses her Ah gong so much that today, he asked her while i'm taking my dinner whether she complaint already. The best thing is i heard that she proclaim loudly "complaint already"!

It's cute when you see one willing to help & another one obliging & taking instruction.

The downside of a new job is it's impossible for me to take leave just after 3 wks of work. So, I have to delegate the plan to bring them to Disney on Ice to both Dh & Ah Ma. I also missed the chance to see my ex-colleagues as we have planned to go for the show together. Anyway, i should be seeing Aunty Elisa & Aunty Suzie (who just got saved by the lord!) quite often since we attend the same church.

Sky's current favourite word is "NO". This is all too familiar for me as Shannon went thru this stage before. Today, our helper related a funny incident to me.

Aunty: Sky! Eat your lunch now.
Sky: No No...Wait...later

Since the start of March, Shannon has started to bring back homework to do on a weekly basis. It came as a surprise to me. It did not occur to me that N2 will have homework to do. Even for chinese lessons, they are learning 笔划 like pie(2) 撇 heng(2)横. Life for the kids are so stress in SG.

Luckily, Shannon seems to enjoy doing "homework" & has the concentration to finish before playing.

Sky is such a terror when come to climbing. Have I named him wrongly that he always like to climb high to the sky? Or I ate too much crab during preggie times? Or positively to say he has very good motor skills?

Got a rude shock from Shannon when we woke up yesterday.



Her right eye is still swollen as of today despite taking the medications :(.

It was the busiest ren ri I ever had.

First, we brought Shannon for her Ballet class. Then, I was told they will be celebrating their birthday bash with a concert in the Millenia Walk Great Hall on 10 Mar 07 at 3pm. Shannon will be performing a dance item along with the ballet tot kids. I wonder how & wat can she perform within such short period of time. Anyway, will look forward to it.

After her ballet, we rushed through lunch to bring her for a play "I think I can" at DBS Arts Centre. Wanted to bring Sky in as well but they were strict on the no. of tixs per pax :(

We later drop by at Aunty Joon May's hse. It was nice to see lotsa ex-colleagues and had some catching up on the latest buzz buzz.



We stayed there for a while before we need to rush home as both side of our families are coming our place for steamboat. Of course, what's 人日 without Yu Sheng.

Together with Ah Ma, we took the kids to Sentosa yesterday to enjoy the beautiful flowers and the nursery rhymes in "life". It was also our first ride in the Sentosa Express @ Vivocity. The flowers bloom are indeed beautiful and it's lovely to see some school brought the kids there. Hmmm..why din Shannon's CC arranged such visit other than Zoo and Bird Park?? The kids enjoyed the walk despite the hot weather. Shannon especially look forward to go from one Rhyme to another.

Not to waste the trip to Sentosa, we decide to visit the beach station and go for a tram ride to silso beach. It was there where Shannon got a airbrush tatoo which cost $5. Ya..it seems abit wasteful but i can't resist it. :)

When we were finally back in Vivocity, the kids were lucky to catch a lion dance in action. Shannon has been asking to see the "dong dong chiang".

On 初 二， we meet up with my old frens - Aunty Karen & Aunty Sandy for a gathering cum dinner at Imperial Herbal @ VivoCity. After the dinner, we celebrated Dh's birthday which is just around the corner.

The 2baobeis wishes all "huat" for the new year! The children enjoyed their 初 一 by eating lots of goodies esp ba kwa & going around collecting ang pows.

Now that Sky is finally well, there's really nothing much for me to worry about. But, this little fellow seems to be on a food binge since Tuesday & I'm not sure if this is a problem or not. Previously, due to the diarrhea episode, he had lose a fair bit of weight. He manage to catch it back by

- drinking 4 bottles of milk in one morning.
- wake up every 2-3hrs for milk at night for the past 2 days.
- eating & munching something if not sleeping.
- eat his dinner, munch on jie jie's dinner when jie jie's back from school, munch on our dinner when we are back from work.

Not sure if he's trying to eat back what he has "lost" the past week. Hope he's taking it easy... :)

I had earlier posted of my career growth. More good news. God is doing more wonderful things in my life. At this junction, I'm moving because I want to do something I like. I thought I have settled in one but God open another door for me. This time it's even better in terms of err...everything?! I like to think that this is link to the "Arise & Build" that we are doing for our church. As I pledge an amt to build God a house, this is a great testimony that God is also building a house for us. (Think God feels that I need to be paid more in order for us to reach our goal (move house) faster.

Bad
Had earlier posted that Sky was recovering from his fever & cough. Later that week, things took a turn for worst instead. His fever fluctuated again as his lung infection got worst. On his third dose of antibiotics, he seem to get better. But, now he's having diarrhea which could be due to the side effects of antibiotics. Pray that God will heal him completely and the children will be able to enjoy CNY.

Was introduced to this Bouncy Castle at Katong Mall by Aunty Suzie. Both Shaine & Shannon had loads of fun in there. Good for children who have lots of energy to shed!
